Richard Cadena

Richard Cadena is an author, freelance lighting designer/consultant, ETCP Recognized Trainer, ETCP Certified Entertainment Electrician, technical editor for PLASA Media, and the founder of the Academy of Production Technology. He has been in the lighting industry for over 30 years working as a tech, programmer, designer, electrician, account rep, and author. In addition to working on shows, he also teaches classes and workshops covering a variety of live event production-related topics including entertainment electrics, power distribution, control systems, and programming, he does public speaking, and when he's not traveling, he enjoys bicycling to and from yoga class before starting work for the day.
